Calculator dataNo calculator entries saved

The calculators provide information and estimates. They do not replace professional judgement, inspection or advice where those are needed.

Calculator results

Results depend on the values entered and the method shown on the page. Incorrect measurements, unsuitable assumptions, rounding and changing external information can all affect the answer.

Before making an important decision, check the inputs, read the explanation and confirm the result against an appropriate independent source.

Health

Health and wellbeing calculators are for general information. They do not diagnose illness, assess an emergency or replace advice from a doctor, pharmacist, dietitian or other qualified healthcare professional.

Seek urgent medical help where symptoms or circumstances require it rather than relying on an online calculator.

Finance

Financial tools illustrate figures such as repayments, savings growth and household costs. Rates, taxes, fees, eligibility and individual circumstances can change the real outcome.

The site does not provide regulated financial advice. Check lender terms and official information, and consider suitably qualified advice before making a significant financial commitment.

Home, DIY and structural questions

Material calculators help with planning but cannot inspect a building, verify a surface or account for every site condition. Add an appropriate allowance for waste and follow manufacturer instructions.

Structural, electrical, gas and safety-critical work may require a competent professional and must comply with applicable regulations.

Travel and transport

Journey, fuel, parking, toll and payload results are estimates. Routes, charges, legal requirements, vehicle limits and operating conditions can change.

Forensic science

Forensic-science pages are educational tools. They are not validated casework systems and must not be used as the sole basis for a medical, legal or investigative conclusion.

Real forensic interpretation requires documented methods, calibrated equipment, appropriate reference data, scene context and qualified practitioners.

External links

Links to other organisations are provided for reference. Their content, availability and policies are outside my control. A link does not necessarily amount to an endorsement of every statement on that website.

Availability and errors

I try to keep the site available and calculations working, but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access or that every page will always be free from error.

Use the result as a starting point, not unquestionable proof. The more serious the decision, the more important it is to verify the calculation and obtain appropriate advice.
