Search tips

• Use the everyday word. The tools are named plainly, so “paint”, “compost” or “loft” will usually find what you need.
• Two words narrow the list. Every word you type must appear in the tool’s name, description or subject, so “paint coverage” returns fewer results than “paint”.
• Search by subject. Typing “gardening” or “forensic” lists everything filed under that subject.
• Nothing is sent anywhere. The search runs entirely in your browser. What you type is never sent to a server or recorded.
